Statement of Faith
The basis of Calvary Christian School System shall be the Word of God as interpreted by the following statement of faith:
- We believe the Bible is the infallible inspired Word of God and the basis of all Christian doctrine.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 138, 2 Peter 1:19-21) - We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 45:5, Matthew 28:19, Acts 5:3-4, Colossians 2:9)
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and that He is the only begotten Son of God.
(Matthew 1:20-21) - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 3:21-28, Titus 3:5-7, Acts 16:31) - We believe that every believer should be identified with the Lord Jesus Christ through water baptism.
(Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 16:16) - We believe that worship and praise, including singing, clapping, dancing and the lifting of hands should be a part of every believer’s walk with God.
(Psalm 150, 1 Timothy 2:8) - We believe that the New Testament church should be structured under the leadership of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders and deacons as God places them in the local assembly and in the universal church.
(Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Timothy 3:1-13) - We believe that Jesus Christ will return visibly and in power to the earth to receive His church and establish His eternal kingdom. Only those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior are a part of that Kingdom.
(1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, Revelation 1:7)
