History

CCSS FoundersCalvary Christian School System (CCSS), founded in 1993 by Bishop B. Courtney McBath and Pastor Janeen McBath, is an outreach ministry of Calvary Revival Church (CRC). Our mission is to prepare students intellectually to prosper in the world, to prepare them socially to prosper in their relationship with others, and to prepare them spiritually to prosper as God’s servants.

In 1993, a preschool program was established in a building housing 27 Pre-K3 to Pre-K5 students with five teachers. As the school expanded and enrollment increased, grades Pre-K5 to 3rd grade were moved to Calvary Revival Church when it was located on East Little Creek Road. Since that time, the school has been in a continuous mode of expansion.

In 1995, CCSS relocated to our current building as enrollment increased and additional grades were added. The new facility is located on an 11-acre campus on East Little Creek Road, which includes a 40,000 square foot early childhood center/preschool/elementary school, a 50,000 square foot middle/high school, a regulation-sized gymnasium and an athletic field. The Early Childhood Center was established in 2004 at CRC on Poplar Hall Drive and moved to the new facility in 2006. We currently offer a quality-enriched program for infants from 6 weeks old to 5th grade.

Calvary Christian Elementary School
Calvary Christian Elementary School is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and four other accrediting organizations. The school seeks students from a multiplicity of ethnic and cultural backgrounds – promoting good citizenship by developing understanding and appreciation for Christian principles of love, respect, honesty and personal dignity as inspired by the Word of God. We strongly believe God has a plan for His children based upon Jeremiah 29:11. Our goal is to lay the foundation for lifelong learning in a strong academic environment.

Calvary Christian Elementary School compliments the values taught in a Christian home. The home, church and school have a direct impact on the child’s understanding of his/her relationship with Christ. To this end, students are expected to fulfill their obligations in the classroom by excelling academically, socially and spiritually.
