Philosophy of Education

Calvary Christian Elementary School is a ministry of Calvary Revival Church and its philosophy is consistent with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the church.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Therefore,

  • We believe each child has been fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and must grow into the knowledge of Jesus Christ in order to develop his or her fullest potential.
  • We believe in the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God.
  • We believe that the parents have a mandate from God to rear their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
  • We believe that Calvary Christian Elementary School’s biblical role is to work in conjunction with the home to mold students to be Christ-like. On occasion, the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home may be counter or in opposition to the biblical lifestyle the school teaches. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, sexual immorality, homosexual orientation, or inability to support the moral principles of the school. In such cases, the school reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student.
  • We believe that the biblical and philosophical goal of Calvary Christian Elementary School is to develop students into mature, Christ-like individuals who will be able to exhibit a Christ-like life. Of necessity, this involves the school’s understanding and belief of what qualities or characteristics exemplify a Christ-like life. Even though parents may personally believe differently, while enrolled at Calvary Christian Elementary School, all students are expected to exhibit the qualities of a Christ-like life espoused and taught by the school and to refrain from certain activities or behavior. Thus, Calvary Christian Elementary School retains the right to refuse enrollment to or to expel any student who engages in sexual immorality, including any student who professes to be homosexual/bisexual or is practicing homosexual/bisexual, as well as any student who condones, supports, or otherwise promotes such practices (Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:27).
  • We believe that all students can achieve high standards of academic success as a result of an environment conducive to learning, strong parental support and community resources.
